Please read and understand the laws and licensing requirements if any of your of residence state before applying for training travel may be required depending on state laws.


U.S FEB AGENT REQUIREMENTS

The FEA Agent requirements are as follows:

  • The minimum age requirement is 21 years.
  • The applicant must be a citizen of the United States of America.
  • He/She must possess a High School Diploma or GED.  (Criminal Justice training or degree preferred but will train.)
  • He/She must have minimum 1 years of work experience and a valid driving license.
  • Military only - DD214 Required.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation. (No Felony Criminal Convictions) -exception->State restoration of rights
  • Must be able to pass 6 written exams based on all training completed. 

APPLICATION PROCESS

  • Completion of first background check start on the pre-registration background check page.
  • Screening (Interview) - USFEB Agents will screen the applicant for approval or denial of training.
  • Completion of additional forms and a second criminal background investigation (USFEB).
  • Register for training - FEA Training shall start according to the on-line training schedule.
  • Testing and Examinations - Testing shall start according to the on line training schedule.
  • Firearms range qualifications.
  • Security Clearance, Federal and State Background Investigations processes - Additional Forms completion and FBI, Dept of Public Safety, DOI and other Background investigations.
  • Positions will be assigned once all clearances and authorizations have been met.
